SeaMazz® Cooked Shrimp Tail-On or Off

Preparation:

SeaMazz® Black Tiger Shrimp is peeled, deveined and easy to prepare in all your favorite recipes. For best results, place desired amount of cooked frozen shrimp in covered bowl of cold water and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight. Rinse shrimp in a colander under cold running water and serve as desired.

For Quick Thawing: Place frozen shrimp in a colander under running water for 5-10 minutes. Gently rotate occasionally for even thawing. Then just let them drain for 2-3 minutes. Use immediately, or refrigerate in covered bowl of ice water until ready to use.

 

Serving Suggestions:

Simple Shrimp Appetizer:

Thaw and drain cooked shrimp, then cut in half lengthwise. In a large bowl combine 1 part salad dressing, juice of 2 lemons and 1 large Bermuda onion, thinly sliced. Add shrimp, cover , and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors. Then serve on crackers or cocktail rye slices. Delicious!


Tangy Shrimp Cocktail Sauce:

In a small bowl combine 1/3 cup ketchup, 2 tsp. horseradish and 1-1/2 tsp. lemon juice. Mix well, cover and refrigerate. May be prepared a day in advance. Thaw and drain cooked shrimp. Arrange shrimp on lettuce leaves with generous spoonful of cocktail sauce in center. Garnish with lemon wedges.
